ArtibusED
Adult Theatre Education
Artibus Education (ArtibusED) offers theatre education for adults across a wide range of interests and experience levels. We offer pay-what-you-can drop-in workshops as well as in-depth five-week courses, all led by Artibus educators with over 20 years of professional experience who are eager to share their tools, questions, and practices in community.
ArtibusED focuses on physical-based storytelling, ensemble practice, and collective creation. Classes explore movement, devising, improvisation, and activist forms such as Theatre of the Oppressed.
Through ArtibusED we invite participants into play, personal growth, and shared inquiry.
Intensive Workshops
Theatre of the Oppressed | 5 week course
An interactive, community-based theatre form developed to promote social change and challenge oppression. In this workshop we will dig into difficult topics and ignite our imaginations to disrupt harm. We will practice mutual aid and interdependent world-building through theatre, playing with the magical and the mundane.
MONDAYS April 13 through May 11

Your Funny Moves | 5 week course
Clown as physical intelligence, emotional movement, and trickster craft.
This workshop explores clown as both physical intelligence and emotional force—your funny moves, and the way your funny moves others. Through physical play, ensemble work, and experiments in failure, participants begin to shape a clown with its own logic, sensitivity, and point of view.
